Fidler & Pepper’s £199 Powers of Attorney campaign returns
An initiative is being run for a second time by Fidler & Pepper Lawyers to help more people put important paperwork in place should they ever be unable to make decisions themselves.
During March 2020, Fidler & Pepper will create a Power of Attorney document for just £199 plus VAT per client.
The initiative is to help people put in place important documents should they ever need them.
The discount offer may encourage more people to put a Power of Attorney in place and gain the peace of mind that their personal decisions are being made by the people they trust to make them.
Richard Howard, the Director who heads up the company’s Private Client department, commented: “This scheme allows people to arrange really important legal documentation so that Lasting Powers of Attorney processes are in place if they needed them.
“It’s all about being in control of what happens if and when you can’t make a decision for yourself, perhaps because of an accident or long-term health condition.
“I’m proud that once again, our money-saving initiative will help people when they need it most.”
There are two types of Lasting Powers of Attorney, covering Financial Decisions, or Health and Care.
Having these in place means important and personal decisions are made by trusted people who have been chosen to do so. Without Powers of Attorney in place, court or council-appointed organisations can make decisions on behalf of people who cannot make their own.
Richard added: “It is never too early to get the legal paperwork in place, but it can be too late. We’re asking people not just to get prepared, but give themselves peace of mind and prevent future heartache and legal procedures.”
