Established Since 1991

We have been connecting people and building our business community for over 25 years. Being a member of 2020 means being a part of the wider business community and never missing an opportunity. Don’t just take our word for it; here is what our members think:

Nick Linney: Linneys

To me 2020 is about many things but the main ones are firstly, the ability to know and meet other people from the area who are trying to make this area a better area. Not just business people but people from all walks of life unusually united in one cause – to make the area a better area.

Secondly, business locally and nationally plays a very small role in politics. To a certain degree, business has lost its voice, in spite of the fact that employment seems to remain one of the keys to social stability. 2020 gives business people the chance to have a voice and to push for the ‘pace of business’ to be inserted into local politics and the improvement of our community.

Thirdly, there is the networking. Like it or hate it, it needs to be! Knowing who can supply you locally or who you can sell to locally or who does what locally is a big issue for any community. 2020, with it’s monthly busy/fizzy breakfast meetings provides a great and efficient forum to enable this to happen.

There are many other benefits from 2020 membership, some useful all the time and others ‘just when you need them’. For Linney Group, being part of a busy/ pacey organisation is a nice way to be involved in the community – it’s refreshing!

You guys offer much more than networking. We’d certainly like to be at the next one, and can see the benefits in being involved. Not just from a networking side of things, but because it seems it is the place to be to rub shoulders with a large group of local business owners. I recognised a few faces at the meeting from the past, people I’ve worked for or know about.

When we do join, we’d also be interested in speaking in the future at a meeting. We could provide an insightful presentation / pitch with regards a few different web based topics.

Pendragon: Mansfield Training Academy

As members of 2020 since 2015, Pendragon Training Academy have acquired an increased awareness of both local business and the local economy in the Mansfield area. We have over the last year acquired a growing network of business contacts along with an abundance of support and encouragement.

The Academy is a habitual attender at the 2020 Breakfast Meeting, regularly changing our attendees to target different potential contacts; we find this effectively supports our interest in meeting new people whilst gaining a deeper awareness of how we can ‘do business’ in Mansfield and surrounding areas. This is particularly relevant in relation to the training, meeting and conference space we have available at our special Mansfield 2020 rates, alongside extending a number of opportunities to our local business network to attend one our business relevant workshops at substantially discounted rates.

To support our aims of being a partner with 2020, we sponsored the July 2016 Breakfast Meeting. Caroline Cox and the 2020 team were very supportive in helping with the logistics, both before the event and on the day.

Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 is a key organisation in helping to raise the prospects and aspirations of the local area. It provides a powerful voice for business innovation and regeneration. It connects all of the key people within the community whether from public or private sector to make a real difference.

Membership provides many benefits, not least the opportunity to make the right connections to further your own business. It has become an essential part of the Mansfield and Ashfield business community.
