REMEMBER keep flowers in a cool place away from direct sunlight, the cooler the room the longer they last! Keep away from draughts also fruit and vegetables as they emit ethelyne gas which is toxic to flowers. Always use the flower food provided. Change water regularly
If you have a hand tied bouquet in an aqua pack you can leave it in the box for up to 48hrs after this time the water will need changing, so snip the base of the water bag to drain the water, remove water bag and snip approx 5cm from stems. Stand the hand tied bouquet in a vase with clean water and flower food.
For cut flowers in cellophane remove wrapping cut approx 5cm from the stems and place in a clean vase with water and flower food remember to change the water on a regular basis to prolong life of the blooms.
Roses need a touch more TLC to be their best so change the water more regularly and trim the stems well. The same as for other flowers a cool room away from direct sunlight, fruit and veg, heat sources and draughts. If the heads droop an airlock may have occurred re cut the stems and stand in 1″” of boiling water them put straight back into the vase with clean cold water and flowers food.”
