We are based in the Mansfield and Ashfield area and support young people aged 16-24 who are not in education, employment or training, by helping them work towards a positive future. We provide structured activities that improve their approach, attitude and behaviours towards education, employment and voluntary work, and help them to overcome any barriers to progression they may have.

We deliver outreach projects which offer the one on one support young people need to progress, and provide programmes and workshops that are delivered in partnership with statutory providers such as colleges, national and local charities and employment support agencies. These programmes fill gaps in provision where they arise, and are aimed at improving their work skills, social skills, employability and confidence. By working in close partnership with the college system and employment agencies, we ensure that our young people have the best chance of gaining a place on a college course, and promote routes into employment or voluntary work.

IAF objectives are to raise the aspirations and achievements of disadvantaged young people, and those not in education, employment and training by:

Inspiring and supporting them to make positive changes in their lives

Inspiring and supporting them to find progression routes into education and employment

Working in partnership with educational organisations, other third sector organisations, and business to signpost, create, and provide positive progression routes and supported activities.
