Evolving Law firm begins new era

Fidler & Pepper, the forward-thinking, innovative and multi-award-winning law firm, is changing how it is regulated and how it operates.

The firm is dedicated to delivering Conveyancing, Wills, Trusts and Probate services in a modern way, and has opted to become regulated by a specialist body that will help it achieve its aims.

From this month, Fidler & Pepper will be regulated by The Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC), rather than the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), as the CLC specialises in regulating Conveyancing and Probate Firms in the UK.

The firm, which serves clients across the UK, will be known as Fidler & Pepper Lawyers, with current partners Mark Slade, Matthew Slade and Richard Howard being joined by Joanne Godson, Head of People and Operations, as Directors.

Mark Slade commented: “We’re a thoroughly modern business, with a modern approach and we firmly believe the move to the CLC will help us to grow what we do and how we do it.

“From what we have seen, and our experience so far, the CLC is a proactive organisation that works closely with its member firms to help them grow and thrive.

“We’re building something special here, and when we say we want it to be a magical place to work, we really mean it. It is, quite simply, the right thing to do. This latest move is the next step in the evolution of our modern, specialist law firm.”

The CLC’s regulatory activities include maintaining a register of all licensed Conveyancers, setting standards to regulate the professional practice, conduct and discipline of licensed Conveyancers and monitoring work and conduct.

One of the top 50 Conveyancing companies in the UK, Fidler & Pepper has been one of the first with a number of innovations, such as online case tracking and offering Wills services via web-based video technology.
