The Tour is back in Nottinghamshire this year and two of Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 Patrons are working hard to make it happen.
Mansfield and Ashfield District Councils are busy making plans to ensure that everything is in place for it to be a great success locally.
It’s one of the most prestigious cycling events in the UK calendar and we’ll see one of the longest and most gruelling stages in the competition. This year’s race will be visiting us on Saturday 8th September seeing riders travelling from West Bridgford, via Ashfield, to Mansfield ensuring a great turnout.
Mansfield will host the final of the penultimate stage!
This year’s longest stage of the race departs from West Bridgford, races around the county for 223 kilometres before weaving five miles through Mansfield and flying through to the finish on Chesterfield Road South.
The streets will be lined with thousands of spectators waiting for the fast paced finish on Chesterfield Road Park area. On the Council’s website you’ll find out all your need to know about the Mansfield stage and links to the Nottinghamshire and National pages.

Ashfield District Council will be holding an event in Hucknall on race day with fun for all the family including Queens of Rock show, Active Ashfield Final and free activities throughout the day. Events are also being organised in Selston by the Parish Council.
