The University of Derby are offering two new Leadership and Management programmes.
They are either fully or partially funded and are therefore a great opportunity for businesses to access accredited staff training at either no, or heavily reduced rates.
This is a fully funded suite of four leadership and management courses, aimed at those who are new to leadership, aspiring to become leaders or may be returning to a managerial position after a period away. Funded through the European Social Fund it is open to individuals working in small and medium businesses in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire (D2N2 region) and aims to give people the skills and knowledge to inspire and motivate their teams, in turn increasing productivity and growth for the business. Currently delivered online over two days, two weeks apart, we have dates available for the first two units Developing your Inner Leader and Leadership Through Change and Challenge (detailed below) and more dates for the final two units; Inclusive Leadership and Mentoring and Coaching will be coming soon. Units can be completed in any order and individuals can choose which ones they want to attend. Should they complete all four units they can also complete an additional piece of work to receive a University of Derby accreditation.

Leadership Through Challenge and Change; take a step back and look at how you deal with challenge and change within an organisational context, identifying new strategies that you can take into the workplace.

There is no limit as to the number of colleagues that can attend these courses and we may even be able to run bespoke sessions just for an individual business. They are also open to charities or team members on Furlough or Maternity/Paternity leave. Following the success of the Small Business Leadership Programme, this 12-week leadership and management course has been accredited by the Small Business Charter to support business growth following the impact of Covid-19. It is open to Senior Managers in Small and Medium businesses with between 5 and 249 employees. It will combine online learning with face-to-face case study workshops, 1:1 mentor support and peer group networking looking at strategy, innovation, engaging teams, digital technology, building the brand and more.
90% funded by the government this course is just £750, available to one leader per organisation. Start dates for the next set of cohorts include:
