Support from the High Level Skills programme
As an SME, are you experiencing skills shortages or skills gaps in your organisation?

The High Level Skills programme can offer you dedicated support, advice and funding to help you to:
·         understand your business needs and plan for the future
·         access graduate talent through workshops, advice and funding
·         grow your own apprentice with higher or degree apprenticeships
·         put your voice at the heart of the courses we’re delivering.

NTU can offer 5 specific interventions that will help you to plug your skills gaps and address shortages, develop a more diverse and productive workforce, and achieve more.
1. Skills and Talent Needs Assessment

·         Free, full review of your business’ current organisational set-up
·         Identify your future needs and goals
·         Explore how graduate high-level skills could boost your productivity now and in the future.

2. Skills and Talent Action Plans

·         The next stage after completing a needs assessment
·         A step-by-step plan on how we can help you to implement the recommendations from your needs assessment.

3. Employability support

·         One-to-one advice and workshops on how NTU’s Employability team can support your recruitment
·         Development of graduate attraction plans
·         £1,000 talent grant to fund a 6-week graduate placement.

4. Apprenticeship support

·         Grow your own graduate through a higher or degree apprenticeship
·         Upskill your existing employees and attract new talent to your business
·         Only pay 5% of apprenticeship costs with government funding paying the rest (if you are a non-levy paying employer).

5. Putting SME voice at the heart of course design

·         Through co-design we aim to continually put SME needs, insight and experience at the core of developing and delivering our courses
·         By working with us, we can use your strengths and understanding to build the curriculum, meaning our graduates are being taught the skills you need them to have.
