A week of hands-on activities is coming to West Nottinghamshire College during the February half-term, giving young people a taste of life on a further education programme.
Free college taster sessions are being organised in a range of curriculum areas such as hospitality and catering, health and social care, animal care, art and design, fabrication and welding and more.
The taster programmes, which will run from Monday 14 to Friday 18 February, will take place at the college’s Derby Road campus, with the engineering-themed events being held at the Sutton-in-Ashfield based Engineering Innovation Centre.
These activities have been designed for individuals aged 15-18 years of age and will provide the chance for people to come to college for a few hours and participate in an activity which showcases what will be learnt when studying a course.
Delivered in small groups, there will be the chance to meet tutors, ask questions and potentially meet new friends. People can choose to attend more than one taster session over the week and these must be booked online by visiting www.wnc.ac.uk/events
