Now running as annual events, the Ashfield and Mansfield Jobs Fairs offer fantastic opportunities to meet with local jobseekers.  In fact, it’s also free to attend and everyone is welcome.  If you are struggling to recruit through conventional methods, then these Jobs Fairs may be exactly what you need.  The Ashfield Jobs Fair is on Friday 21 September and the Mansfield Jobs Fair follows a week later on Friday 28 September.  So there’s an opportunity to have two bites at the cherry.

Why should recruiters attend?

Attending the Jobs Fairs will provide you with the following benefits:

  • Speedy recruitment – engaging in interviews on the day
  • Meeting jobseekers face-to-face
  • Cost-effectiveness
  • Collecting CVs
  • Promoting your business and your vacancies locally, directing jobseekers to your company website.

We are hoping for a good turnout on both days from a mixed audience of both employed and unemployed individuals.  Furthermore, with our partners, we have widely promoted both Jobs Fairs through local press, social media, colleges, local job clubs and the Jobcentre.  In addition, together with our partners, we have distributed flyers at health centres, libraries and community centres.

Further information

This year these important events are delivered through a partnership comprising Ashfield and Mansfield District Councils, Vision West Nottinghamshire College and the Department for Work & Pensions.
The Ashfield Jobs Fair is hosted at the Festival Hall on Friday 21 September.  A week later, on Friday 28 September, the Mansfield Jobs Fair will take place at the Central Library in Mansfield.
Running from 10am to 2pm, jobseekers can drop in at a time convenient to them.  So, if you are looking to recruit, this may prove an invaluable opportunity to meet local job-ready individuals and even get some signed up on the day.
Should you wish to have a stand on either day, or both, then please contact Ella O’Connor on 01623 463327.  If you’re still unsure and need a little more information, Ella will also be able to help with any queries that you may have.
