Aspirational companies across the Mansfield and Ashfield areas are already submitting their entries to the area’s premier awards initiative.
Organisers of the prestigious Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 Awards have already received submissions from people wanting to win in categories such as New Business Of The Year, and Young Apprentice of the Year.
Because of COVID restrictions, last year’s 2020 awards ceremony was very different to previous year’s events, but did go ahead online.
Organisers are however planning for a “face-to-face” event once again in September – and have already received a number of awards submissions from 2020 members and companies who are not yet members.
Gary Jordan, who chairs 2020 said: “It appears, perhaps obviously, that many people are looking forward to getting some normality back in their personal and business lives.
“We have had a number of great submissions come in already and we are hoping that this year’s event could be the best ever as people look forward to getting out and about again.”
It is hoped that the 2020 Annual Business Awards and Ball will gather together more than 280 leading local business people to recognise the achievements of the local business community.
One company that has previously won 2020 awards is Fidler & Pepper Lawyers, which has a number of offices in Mansfield and Ashfield.
Wendy Walker, a director at Fidler & Pepper, said: “We love the awards event as it is great to celebrate local businesses and entrepreneurial people who are working hard to be a success. We will be entering the awards once again this year and are looking forward to dressing up smartly and attending the event itself.”
The 2020 event will be held on Thursday, September 30 at The John Fretwell Centre, Mansfield, NG19 8LL.  The awards application form must be submitted by midnight on Thursday, July 1.
