Students from Vision West Notts College  rolled up their sleeves over the recent festive period in the Asda Superstore, Sutton in Ashfield, raising much needed funds for Ashfield Citizens Advice.
Kathryn Stacey, CEO at Citizens Advice said, ‘We are really grateful for the efforts of the students; its the first time we’ve tried raising funds directly from the public and we are encouraged by the great response we got from shoppers at Asda.  As a charity we need funding in able to provide a free advice service and as  our traditional sources get increasingly competitive we need to seek different ways of sustaining the service. We also would like to thank Hayley Carrington, Community Champion at Asda for all the support she has given us over the year.’
Ashfield Citizens Advice is a registered charity and relies solely on donations and funding  grants. If you would like to support us please donate here.
