The EU Exit Support Programme is a package of 1:1 and webinar/workshop support for businesses across the East Midlands, delivered by The Export Department and fully-funded by the East Midlands Growth Hubs: Business Gateway, D2N2 and Business Lincolnshire.
This support is open to all businesses across the East Midlands who have been or are likely to be impacted by the UK leaving the EU and the end of the Transition Period on 31st December 2020.
Webinars cover a raft of relevant subjects, including but not limited to, the impact of the new Border Operating Model, the new UK Global Tariff, the NI Protocol, and much more.
Dedicated 1:1 support will focus on identifying and addressing vulnerabilities unique to participating businesses’ operating models. As a minimum, discussions will cover:

  • International contracts and Incoterms
  • Customs declarations and documentation
  • Customs valuation
  • Commodity codes and the new Global Tariff
  • Regulation and licensing
  • Country of origin protocols
  • Existing Continuity and Mutual Recognition Agreements
  • Trading under preference
  • Complex supply chains
  • Much more

Overriding focus of 1:1 time will be to optimally prepare businesses for changes that will take effect from the 1st January 2021 so that trade can continue with as little disruption as possible.
