A six-figure funding deal from Royal Bank of Scotland has helped Mansfield recruitment company, Fresh Start Recruitment, to buy one of the town’s most iconic buildings.
The firm has acquired Grade II listed property Innisdoon, the former home of Walter Barringer, (one of the founders of Metal Box Company) which has been vacant for the last four years.
The property and its gardens are now set to undergo comprehensive renovation works in order to restore them back to their former glory and will provide an impressive base to house the expanding recruitment company. There are also plans to create four serviced office units within the existing property which will be available to let from June 2018. The offices range from 879 sq ft to 441 sq ft.
Established in 2004, Fresh Start Recruitment provides both temporary and permanent roles in the industrial, commercial, engineering and food sectors. The business has a turnover of £11.1m, employing 14 members of staff.
Emma McLaughlin, director of Fresh Start Recruitment, said: “We are thrilled to have acquired Innisdoon and can’t wait to relocate our business to the property. Innisdoon is a truly iconic building within the local area and we fell in love with it as soon as we viewed it.
“The property will provide plenty of space for us to house our business and enable us to continue to expand. It also provides us with the opportunity to offer some additional office space to rent, allowing us to share the beautiful property with other businesses in the area.
Stacey Croshaw, director of Fresh Start Recruitment, said: “The support we have received for the acquisition from Anna Ellison and the team at the Royal Bank of Scotland has been exemplary. We have worked with Anna for many years and her support has always been excellent. She really understands our plans for the business.”
