On Monday 12th April, non-essential retailers at Idlewells indoor market reopened for business.
They joined a number of food businesses that remained open throughout lockdown. The support for the market has been incredible throughout the pandemic, and large numbers are expected when the rest of the market reopens.
The following traders opened on Monday:
The cafes will be takeaway only until step three of the government’s roadmap is implemented.
The market will be open 9am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am – 5pm Friday and Saturday.
Theresa Hodgkinson, Director of Place and Communities at Ashfield District Council said “We are excited to see the whole of Idlewells Indoor Market reopen. It is a thriving hub in the community and it will be fantastic to see old, and new customers choosing to shop local and supporting local traders.
“The traders who have been forced to close since the first lockdown really need the support of our residents. It’s been a tough year for everyone but you could make a real difference if you shop small this summer.”
