KFC has completely transformed former Habitat store near Old Market Square Nottingham city centre into a large restaurant with the capacity for additional seating outside – offering the perfect dining solution and a reflection of the current times.
Local Nottingham based interior fit-out specialists Jephsons Shopfitters partnered on the project to bring the Grade II listed building back into use and give Nottingham commuters the famous colonel sanders dine-in and takeaway experience.
This project was welcomed by Jephsons Shopfitters who have worked on several projects with KFC and previous winners of the KFC contractor of the year. Jephsons ultimately managed and delivery the interior fit-out for the project. The transformation included everything from floor to ceiling following the KFC specification and vision. Interior works included everything from tiling, painting and fitting COVID screens. The project was completed on time and snag-free.

Project manager Andy Nixon stated ‘It’s always great to work with KFC and support them on their growth plans, especially during these uncertain times. They always have a clear and concise vision, and Jephsons are very proud to be part of the overall delivery team to bring that vision to life. To complete a KFC project within our home town brings additional pride to our work. We are delighted to continue to support them on their expansion journey.’

It is understood that the newly opened Nottingham KFC has created 45 jobs for local people. This is a much-welcomed addition to the economy with so many facing redundancy from the impact of COVID-19.
