S.H.E UK is a Mansfield based charity that provides a range of therapeutic support services to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual violence and rape (both men and women). Our services are long-term, for up to 2 years, and we offer telephone support for those waiting for therapy, 1:1 therapy, and our female only SHE-roes lounge group that provides our clients with self-development educational courses and a place to get together with others who understand.
We were formed in 1998 by two survivors who felt the 1-hour of traditional support offered by statutory services simply wasn’t enough to support them. We were constituted in 2000 and since then we have empowered nearly 1200 survivors to address the past, manage the present and look forward to a happier and healthier future.
