In preparation for the next financial year the council is now in the process of setting its budget. Each year, we have a legal duty to balance our budget and just like the people in Nottinghamshire, we’re also feeling the pressures that are driving up the cost of living such as record inflation and energy costs. Many other factors, including a national shortage of social care staff and a need for more funding are also adding to those pressures.
The Council is taking this opportunity to engage with stakeholders including residents and businesses by questionnaire between Thursday 17th November and Monday 2nd January, to best understand their needs and priorities.
We welcome your views, as businesses will regularly use council services and are central to Nottinghamshire’s future economic prosperity.
