TurnerFox Recruitment has teamed up with the Salvation Army to donate as many sleeping bags as possible to the homeless this Christmas in the Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area.
They are asking for help from local business’ to help keep homeless people in Mansfield and surrounding areas warm and dry this Winter!

Our community is full of generous people who donate at this time of year to help those less fortunate.
However, after TurnerFox spoke with The salvation Army it seems that items such as sleeping bags are harder to come by.
It was estimated that approximately 78 homeless people died in the UK due to harsh weather conditions last year. So, it is incredibly important to provide those living on the street with waterproof, quality sleeping bags.
Therefore, this is why TurnerFox have decided to team up with The Salvation Army this year by gaining local business’ support to donate a sleeping bag to a homeless person. It’s such a simple way to make a huge difference to someone’s life.
As a thank you TurnerFox are keeping a live donation feed and will be entering all those that donate into a prize draw to win a Christmas Hamper.
They will be announcing the winner on Friday 20th December.
Why TurnerFox needs your help
It has been predicted that temperatures in the UK will plummet this winter. Colder than the 10 years previous.
Michelle Fox, Director of TurnerFox has said “we don’t need to see any more people in this area become a statistic, that’s why we desperately want to help as many people as we can. We need the Mansfield business community to pull together at this time to save the lives of those living on the streets”.
They have requested that the sleeping bags donated are waterproof/weatherproof, in case we experience any more heavy rainfall.
Turnerfox would like to make donating as quick and easy for you as they possibly can. That’s why they have published all the information you need on which sleeping bag to purchase and they will even come and collect for you from your office/place of work.

Waterproof sleeping bags can be quite challenging to find, so TurnerFox have said they will be happy to accept any donations, but it would be great if they can be waterproof.
Designated collection days
TurnerFox will be doing designated pick-up days on:
Wednesday 27th November 2pm – 5pm
Friday 6th December 2pm – 5pm
Tuesday 10th December 9am – 12pm
Tuesday 17th December 9am – 12pm
So, you won’t need to go to any effort to drop these off, they will come to you to collect them.
